It's Election Day! How was your voting experience?
Not bad. I left work at about lunchtime, came home and got some food in my belly, and then went over with John. We were done in no time flat. I had a little trouble getting my ballot in the ballot taking machine, but that was it.
Happy Halloween! What's your favorite scary movie?
Sure, my birthday might be on Halloween but does that mean I have to love scary movies? I cannot stand them... even a good suspense film and I'm crawling the walls and possibly inviting nightmares when I sleep.
*shivers*
If you're getting one, how are you planning on spending your tax refund?
REFUND? hah. yeah right. I will be owing money because of Social Security. I'm sooo stoked to pay for something I will never see.
How far from your last home do you live? Why did you move and are you glad you did?

I used to live 1,200 miles away in a suburb of Chicago. I moved to central Florida so I could be with my then boyfriend, now fiance. It was a difficult decision. On one hand, I felt torn about leaving my family and friends, but on the other hand, those people cannot love me like a husband could, and our relationship was serious enough that marriage was both of our intentions. I guess it's the kind of thing you do when you are young and reckless and it doesn't always work, but I took my time praying about it and waited until the right opportunity presented itself. Long distance relationships are difficult to have over an extended period of time. In order for them to last one thing has to happen: you have to be able to see each other, and that often involves one or more parties to move. But do I regret it? You know, as painful as it is to leave some of my treasured family who I miss very much, I'm really glad I made this decision. John and I are getting married in three months, we've been together for FOUR YEARS and I couldn't be happier!
Which are your favorite sites for shopping online?
Of course, I'm partial to Etsy!
Did you shop for great deals on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Or did you observe Buy Nothing Day?
Well, right now I am poor, so I guess I observed Buy Nothing Day, though not for any political or social reasons (unless lack of money falls under one of those categories). I'm typically your last minute shopper anyway. Yes, I have shopped Christmas Eve at WALGREENS. What can you buy at Walgreens? Um. Nail polish. haha.
What are some ways you save money?

Save money? Are you kidding? I would love to have money that I could save. I guess I save money because I don't drive that much. I guess.

Which TV show never "jumped the shark"?
Submitted by healthypanda.
I'm not sure if this really counts, as that it's not mainstream TV, but I think Cowboy Bebop was incredibly well done. It's a relatively short show/anime, but it's poignant, doesn't loose focus, and despite it's popularity (at least, among crowds who love anime!) it never continued in vain, which is impressive because many animes end up with 200+ episodes and completely lose focus, and the only reason they continue is because they make LOTS of money. Like... Inuyasha for example. Originally I loved the show, until Naraku died and came back to life a few times and then the entire storyline completely strays away from the main plot for many episodes at a time. Lame.
How old were you when you had your very first boyfriend/girlfriend? Do you still know them now?
Submitted by KIM.
WELL... who is to say your first crush is also your first boyfriend/girlfriend? I always thought crushes were unrequited love. Anyway, my first serious crush started in the 4th grade... and he a friend on my myspace, but I don't really know him. I was best friends with one of his best friends for a few years, and friends with his girlfriend as well, and then I moved 1,200 miles away.
I didn't get my first boyfriend, however, until I was 18 years old, and who would of thought... we're getting married next year in March! So yes, I still know him.
